Mr. La Mont has valued billions of dollars of timberland
in the U.S. and overseas over the past 25 years. His analytical approach
to appraising has been recognized by clients as providing the
capability to allow the purchaser to immediately begin operations.
Mr. La Mont is a leading consulting authority in the supply of the
world’s timber resources and in the design and construction of complex
timber inventory management programs. Mr. La Mont’s computer programs
and experience span the length and breadth of timber inventory collection
and data management providing complete integration into the appraisal,
end-of-year accounting, development of taxation strategies, and overall
strategic planning associated with the owning of fee timberland.
Mr. La Mont earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resource
Management from Oregon State University and has completed graduate
work in statistics, operations research and business. He is an appraiser
in the American Society of Appraisers, and is a licensed appraiser
in the states of Oregon and Washington. He has also completed all
of the educational requirements of the MAI designation. |
Ryan S. Ferrill

Mr. Ferrill has been working continuously at Timberland Appraisal/Resource
Programming Inc. as a direct assistant to Mr. La Mont since February
of 2006. He has a Bachelor of
Science degree in Forest Management with a minor degree in Business
& Entrepreneurship from Oregon State University. Mr. Ferrill has a background in
timber cruising and property inspection. His past work experience has been with the BLM
and independent timber cruising firms.
During his time with the firm, Mr. Ferrill has been involved in the
appraisal of millions of acres of timberland. He was in charge of
the research for an extensive wood product supply study that determined
the level of available timber in the Northwest United States and British
Columbia.
Ryan received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy in
June, 2003 where he worked as a Quartermaster Second Class Petty Officer
on the USS Hopper and USS Higgins. During his four years in the Navy,
Mr. Ferrill toured extensively in Asia and the Pacific. |

- Dennis Neilson is a Director of the New Zealand based international
forest industry advisory and publishing firm, DANA Limited. Before
founding DANA in 1992, he held a number of management positions
with Fletcher Challenge Ltd. in its forestry and pulp and paper
sectors. DANA undertakes benchmarking, strategic planning, investment
and marketing assignments for corporate clients in New Zealand,
Australia, North and Latin America, Asia and Europe. His experience
enables him to benchmark the New Zealand tree farm and wood processing
industries against a number of others worldwide.
